These dates form our intensive transition programme, designed to ensure the process is both enjoyable and informative for students joining us in Year 7 in September.
Specific details of these events will be sent to families during the summer term.
Primary School Visits
During May and June, members of our senior staff and the Year 7 team will visit each student who is joining us the following September at their primary school.
Uniform Ordering Deadline
The deadline for ordering uniform for students joining Year 7 in September 2019 is Friday 21 June 2019. We cannot guarantee that any items ordered after this date will be received in time for the new academic year.
Wednesday 26 June 2019 and Thursday 27 June, 6 - 7 pm. You will only need to attend one of these evenings; you will have received a letter telling you which date you will need to attend.
This meeting, for students who will be joining us in September 2019 and their parents/carers, will provide general information about the college, its curriculum and pastoral arrangements. Senior Staff and our Year 7 team will be available to answer any questions and you will also meet your child’s tutor.
Unfortunately, we do not have room to accommodate any other members of the family at this event; it is for the transferring students and their parent/carers only. Please do not bring any other siblings or relatives.
Thursday 4 and Friday 5 July 2019, 8.30 am - 2.40 pm at The Spires College. All of the students who have a place at The Spires College in September 2019 will join us for two action-packed days of learning and fun. Students will experience a wide range of lessons, explore the college site and, importantly, meet lots of new friends. Students should wear their primary school uniform and lunch will be provided.
