Outdoor Education Instructor

We are looking to appoint an Outdoor Education Instructor to work full-time at the College.  We want to ensure our students gain as rich an experience as possible during their time with us and believe that learning must extend beyond the classroom for this to happen.

This is a new role at the College and we are looking to appoint someone with relevant experience and qualifications in outdoor education who is passionate about their work and is ambitious to grow this feature of the College’s work.   The role will involve working both on and off the College site and will include aspects of curriculum delivery as well as providing a rich extra-curricular offer.

The successful applicant will be experienced in working with young people and be able to foster superb professional relationships that underpin children’s successes.  If you always aim to inspire and enthuse children through your work and are dedicated to improving the life opportunities for all young people, then this could be the perfect role for you.

The College is a close community, with a shared desire to be the best we can be.  We are committed to staff’s professional development and invest heavily in ensuring our teachers grow and flourish as practitioners.

We offer:

  • excellent professional development opportunities;
  • a high level of support for all new staff;
  • the opportunity to work alongside excellent practitioners across the College;
  • a motivating, friendly place to work
  • a modern, purpose-built building and excellent facilities.
  • An exceptional staff benefits package including free 24/7 counselling, legal and information line; critical incident advice and telephone support; online health portal; access to various salary-sacrifice schemes and free onsite gym access.
  • A free annual flu vaccination.

You will:

  • be experienced in working with young people;
  • be passionate about outdoor education;
  • be committed to the development of an exceptional outdoor education offer at the College;
  • work well as part of a team;
  • be able to use a strong knowledge and understanding to successfully deliver outdoor education;
  • be enthusiastic about giving young people the best possible start in life.
