Choosing and applying
Open Events
Our Sixth Form Open Evening is a great opportunity to discover what life is like in the Sixth Form at The Spires College. You’ll be able to explore the wide range of subjects we offer, meet the teachers who deliver them and learn more about what each course involves. You’ll also have the chance to meet the Sixth Form team and find out more about the support, opportunities and experiences available beyond the classroom.
Our Sixth Form Open Morning is designed especially for external applicants. It’s a chance to see the College in action, visit live lessons, and explore the Sixth Form Centre during a normal working day.
If you don't currently attend The Spires College and would like to speak to someone about joining our Sixth Form, please complete the expression of interest form via the following link:

Selecting your subjects
If you’re following the academic pathway, we recommend choosing three subjects. In some cases, depending on your GCSE results, you may be able to study four. The current course guide is available via the link below. The course guide for 2026-2027 will be published soon.

In the meeting you’ll discuss career aspirations and course choices alongside your wider interests and what subjects you are currently studying. It’s a great opportunity to get advice about your choices and to prepare for the next phase of your education.
Meetings for internal applicants will take place during February and March, during the school day. Parents / carers are welcome to join these meetings.
Meetings for external candidates will be held before July at a mutually convenient time. Parents / carers are welcome to join these meetings.
